10 months! What?

Holy cow these babies are 10 months! I can't believe it. I know I probably say it every month but only 2 more months and they are going to be 1 !!! A lot of days I am too busy to think about anything but sometimes I stop and think...I have 3 babies! Crazy!

The babies have started to eat table food here and there. Ashton doesn't know what a pincher grasp is...but he does know what a fist grasp is. Grabs a fist full and shoves it all in his mouth. Keegan tried to get the food in but usually it ends up everywhere else. Presley is pretty good about eating. (This is Keegan in the picture eating peas and carrots)

This is the babies w/ their favorite TV show character DJ Lance (the white version.) They don't look super happy at the moment and Ashton looks plain scared BUT they are smiling on the inside. (Presley, Ashton, Keegan, and Keith's dad)

They are starting to realized what a camera is and most of the time will look and smile...well some of the time. (This is Keegan)
Cheesing it up is Ashton.
Presley smiling pretty. And this is her head back, nose scrunched smile.

The babies are crawling every where and pretty much go all over the house. Keegan is now army crawling and can keep up w/ his brother and sister.

This is Ashton and Presley in their room playing. Keegan is coming down the hall.
There is Keegan! Mercy is herding him in the room.
Now here they are in the entry way having a discussion about Yo Gabba Gabba.

The babies won Nuby sippie cups! Here they are playing with them.
Ashton is getting pretty excited about Christmas!
So excited that he chews on his crib!
Trying to get a picture for the Christmas card. Why can't they all look at the camera and at the same time?

Did I mention Presley can stand up? It's usually only for a minute or so but she loves it! I am sure walking will follow soon.

We have been crafting and this is our family ornament. The "lights" are made by everyones fingerprints. The other ornaments (there are 3 the red one is kinda hiding) are the babies hand prints that are embossed on a clear ornament.

We hope you have a merry Christmas!!!!

It is starting to feel like Christmas!

I have always wanted to send out family photo Christmas cards...however I am pretty sure I have never sent cards out period. Shame on me I know! This year since we have the babies Keith and I decided that we had to send out a Christmas card with the babies picture on it.

In my spare time (haha) I have searched the sites for good deals for Christmas cards. There are a lot of great places out there! However I was introduced to Tiny Prints a few months ago when living in Austin by Saving With Shellie. Tiny prints has really cute cards that you can have personalized and they can even send them out for you!

Well they also have some pretty cool Christmas cards. You can check them out here --> Christmas Cards I am thinking I love all of them! It will depend what kind of picture we can get out of the triplets before choosing but these two I really like...
Whispering Snowflake Christmas CardsPatterned Christmas Christmas Cards

One is an ornament too! Then the other is just fun. Oh decisions.

Another cool thing is you can get 50 free holiday cards! Just fill out this form and they will send you an email with instructions about blogging about their awesome company!

9 months

I can not believe our babies are 9 months old!!!! They had a doctor's visit Monday which went well.

Presley was almost 18 lbs which was in the 10th percentile and her height was in the 50th percentile. She is tall and skinny but full of spunk! She also now has two bottom teeth and one tooth coming in at the top.
Presley has perfected the crawl and has gotten pretty quick. She also LOVES to pull up. We have three jumperoos grouped together. She loves to pull up and swing from pole to pole. Presley loves to smile. We she does she crinkles up her nose, shows her bottom teeth and puts her head back like she is looking at the ceiling. It's pretty cute. She also likes to follow Ashton around and do what he does.
Keegan the chunk is also doing very well. His red spot on his forehead is slowly disappearing. He weighed about 21 lbs (I think he might have weighed a lb or so more before the stomach flu hit) and his weight and height are in the 50th percentile range. He has two bottom teeth and his two top teeth or in too. He has something (I don't remember what they called it) but its like a little tiny tooth nub coming in between his two front teeth. The doctor didn't seem too concerned but did point it put out and say the dentist will figure that out.
Keegan has finally gotten a little more mobile. Recently he has started the army crawl. He can now tag around w/ his brother and sister. He is a very sweet boy with a bashful smile. He also love animals. When Mercy or Grace come around he gets the biggest smile on his face. He also loves to make sound w/ his mouth. He will get his cheeks full of air, purse his lips together and blow air threw. Last weekend he decided he hates veggies. He will spit them out, turn his face, hit the spoon. This battle is not over.
Ashton is also a chunk. He weighed almost 21 lbs and his height and weight were in the 50th percentile. He has his two bottom teeth, two incisors, and one front tooth in.
Ashton is a laugher. He laughs at everything. It is great!!! Keegan tends to cry a little more and Ashton tries to cheer him up by smiling at him, slapping him in the face, putting his head on his belly. Usually he makes it worse but its pretty cute to see Ashton try to make him happy. Ashton has conquereed crawling...you can always here him coming because he hits the ground so hard with his hands. He can also pull up and cruise around holding onto furniture. Ashton also loves to cuddle but not for long....he has to be on the move.

I have enjoyed their mobility...I was nervous at first. But we shut all the doors, block the kitchen off and let them go. They have the living room, play room, entry way, and hall way. Sometimes I get lucky and they just go off and play and don't need me there. I can get a little bit done that way.

Forgive me for my negativism in my last entry. My point was to get across the difficulties of triplets that some may not realize. This month has been much more positive.

I have had a wonderful lady from the church offer to come help once a week by coming over to watch the babies for an hour or so...so I can make it to the store or do what I need to do! Also I have made it a priority to get out more. It is hard, it does take a while, and I do always work up a sweet loading and unloading. But I get out and its nice. I am even enjoying talking to everyone. Today I went to walmart and the cashier came up to me and talked to me for a bit. She offered to find someone to push a cart around with me. I only needed a few things so I declined. So she said if I fill up my basket then I can drop it off with her and get a new one. It was kind of her to think about that.

8 months

We are settling into Wichita Falls fairly well. Keith is busy at work and I am too! The life of a coach is incredibly busy and as a mom of triplets is busy as well. I have discovered that once food disappears from our cabinets and fridge that it won't get filled up right away like it used too. Now that Keith is working a lot he doesn't get home until late so... no one goes to the store because I am not about to drag the triplets in a giant stroller to Walmart and some how push them and a grocery cart while talking to every single person in that store.

I hardly ever leave the house! Ugh it stinks. I do have the ability but it is not easy putting each baby in the car seat one by one, loading them into the car one by one, driving to wherever, unloading each one, getting the heavy stroller out, put the babies in the stroller w/o the stroller rolling away (it doesn't have a break), walk to the store, attempt to open the door to the store and push the babies in (not easy), and cruise through the store talking to 98% of the people in the store because you have triplets. And being in Wichita Falls I think we are the only family who has triplets so....its a very exciting experience for everyone around you. I don't mean to sound annoyed at everyone because it is actually nice to talk to adults but its always the same comments and questions "Gee you have your hands full!", "Are they triplets?", "Are they identical?", "How do you tell them apart?", "Was it natural or did you do fertility treatments?" (which is actually a very personal question, would you ask that to someone who just had one baby? would you want to tell a stranger about how you had trouble conceiving?).

I have joined a bible study at our church during the morning and it has free childcare with some wonderful people. So that is probably one of my favorites times during the week. Even though I haven't really made any friends through it I get to get away and focus on God and myself for an hour and a half.

On to what you really care about...Presley, Keegan, and Ashton.
Presley and Ashton are now crawling, pulling up to their knees and feet, babbling a lot, falling daily, and just started sitting up unassisted. Keegan is doing great too. He is now starting to get on all fours and rocking back and forth. He is a little behind the other two which I don't mind at all. Makes it a little easier. We think it is because he is soo heavy! He is a dense little boy.

They are now taking bottles only 3 times a day and can hold the bottles all by themselves! Makes life for me much better! They are starting to eat some solids and little gerber cracker things.

Ashton is a mess. He loves crawling over and on things especially is brother and sister. Keegan hates it! Probably because he can't get away. He loves to steal toys. Ashton also loves shoes...he will try and eat the ones you are wearing or if he spots some far away he will crawl to get them as fast as he can. He has only gotten into the dog water once and spilt it everywhere. He loves to pull up on the door gate and stand
.

Presley is still pretty sweet. She loves to pull up and stand too. She loves to play w/ my necklace and not pull on it but just hold it and look at it. She also likes to get under things. We have a toy they can pull up on and stand around and she loves to get under it and sit.
Keegan loves to spin on his stomach. He is very happy and laughs as lot but when he is mad he is mad. He still has a cry that is piercing and you think he has to be in pain. He is very laid back and is pretty content most of the time....until is brother tackles him.

We are very excited about Halloween! We have amazing costumes for the babies and I am trying to enter them into every costume contest I can! We are planning to attend the local fall festival and go trunk or treating at our church.

While it is not an easy job we are blessed with 3 wonderful beautiful babies. They are very happy and easy going which makes life fun. We are very lucky.

7 months

Well the babies are in their new home and the adjusted quite well. They love their cribs which are a lot closer together now and their new play room where they all have a jumper! Their favorite thing to do is to get in the jumpers and look at each other and laugh.

The schedule of 7 months is:
7:30 - Wake up and play
8:00 - Eat and play
10:30 - Nap
11:30 - Wake up and play
12:00 - Eat
12:30 - Play
1:30 - Nap
3:00 -Wake up and play
4:30 - Eat and play
6:00 - Scream and be mad
7:00 - Eat
8:00 - Bed

Presley is doing great. She is smiling and laughing a lot! She is still trying to crawl. She is on her knees and hands rocking and lunging all over the place. She can get anywhere she wants doing that and rolling. She reaches for everything and loves to take my glasses off. She has started grabbing things and banging them on her high chair. She still doesn't like to take all of her bottle but she likes to eat food alright. She has also started to hold her bottle all by herself. She is pretty tough. She plays hard with the boys.

Keegan has turned out to be really happy as well. He does not get as mad as you used to. He is a really good napper and loves to eat! He has been pretty content and has not really gotten into crawling or moving around too much. He can roll back and for but only when he wants too. He loves to play and laugh with his brother. He always has the funniest expressions on his face and enjoys talking...well baby talking.

Ashton is doing well also. He loves to observe things. For example he spent a good 10- 15 minutes looking at the wipes box and turning it on his side and then pushing it back up. He also loves to eat and spit up. I swear that boy spits up every 2 minutes! We have put a sheet down on our living room to help save the carpet but Ashton is moving so much he gets the carpet as much as he gets the sheet. Ashton is a starting to crawl and he can turn around really well. He is starting to try and sit up from his tummy. He too is holding his bottle. He doesn't like to nap. Everytime you lay him down he cries and he always wakes up early and cries. He would much rather be up and playing.

Keith has each taken them running in the jogging stroller (one at a time) and they enjoy it. We have also taken the walking in the normal triplet stroller. The love it. The stick their head over the side and watch everything.

One thing that has been hard for me having triplets is seeing 2 of them hit milestones and then one not. I start to worry that something is wrong w/ one...but I have to remind myself that babies hit milestones at different times. I did it with Ashton early one and now I am doing it w/ Keegan because he isn't trying to crawl. Hopefully he will soon.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. It has been a pretty crazy 7 months but we are doing good!

6 1/2 months

Well the babies had their 6 month doctor visit last week. He said everything looked great! Their weight and heights are:
Presley: length - 25.5 in weight - 14lb 2oz
Keegan: length - 26.5 in weight - 17lb 11oz
Ashton: length - 26.5 in weight - 17lb 11 oz

Not sure if you noticed but the boys are exactly the same. Keegans head is just 1/2 a cm bigger.
The boys are starting to try and roll from their back to their tummies. They have made it a couple of times but they are still working on it. Ashton is now getting into crawling position. His arms are straight, his knees are under him, his tummy is not touching the ground...leans forward....and falls. He will get it soon...and life will get fun!

We have added a lot of baby food and cereal to the mix. I am having trouble trying to figure out how much bottle, how much food, how often....and keep them on a routine. The boys get to come off Neosure this month (the preemie super expensive Similac) and Presley only needs it for another month. We have stocked up on it so I suppose we will get through that before we switch.

The babies also love the jumperoo's. It funny because they all act differently in them. Ashton loves to jump and jump, Keegan likes to sit and play with the stuff quietly. And Presley is kinda in between.

The babies are starting to laugh a lot! Which is really funny.

And starting to get in each others space.

In family news....we will be official Wichita Falls residents in September. Our house is now under contract (thank you for your prayers!!!) and we have a rent house ready for us! Keith will drive about 10 minutes to work everyday and I am pretty much super close to everything. So...if I need to get out of the house I can load up the kids and go window shopping at the mall. But I always have to be ready for the looks, the comments, the non stop questions. Which I think i will be okay with.

6 months

Well the babies are six months old today. Forgive me that there won't be any pictures but we packed the cord that connects the computer to the camera. :-( oops!

The babies are doing great! We have moved from Austin to the Wichita Falls area. We are living in Monica's (Keith's sister) family and are taking up residence in their living room while we wait for our house to sale.

Presley has found her feet and has become a rolly polly. She can roll from her back and her tummy. She has also started pulling her knees under her and pushing herself forward. Keegan and Ashton have started rolling from their tummy to his back more often. Ashton has been the grumpy one this month. I think that he is starting to teeth even though we can't see any teeth.

They have all started playing in their jumperoos and love it! We have also started baby food. Right now they are getting it once a day but I am going to try and shoot for 2 -3 times a day. So far they love almost everything except rice cereal and green beans. Ashton is our best eater...he will open his mouth really wide and will eat anything. Presley will open her mouth too and will eat almost anything and Keegan is still unsure. He opens his mouth a little and still spits a lot of it out especially if he isn't crazy about the food.

This last month has been a little trying. With teething (I am blaming it on that) one baby is always upset. It is constant fussiness from one baby or another or all. The only time it is quiet is when they are sleeping our eating. Having 3 at one time is definitely hard but I have LOVED watching them start to interact and seeing them develop next to each other.

Well the babies are taking their morning mini nap. I better go brush my teeth!

5 months and independence celebrations

Happy Fourth of July!!! The babies celebrated by taking a walk w/ their friend Carter and then drank lots of Similac. Then watched fireworks on TV while waving their American flags. It was a busy day!

The babies will be 5 months on the 8th. They are doing pretty great. They are starting to "talk" by saying "bagooooo" and "iiiiii" and "uhwaaaaawa". They are grabbing stuff and holding it in their hands . They have started to put their hands on the bottle which we encourage but sometimes it makes it harder for us to feed them because they like to pull it or push it away.
We do daily exercises like push ups, squats, sit ups, they practice standing up while holding on to our hands (which they are very good at).

We have started a new schedule which is a ton better than our previous schedule.

7AM - Wake Up!
7:30 - EAT
8:30 - 9:00 - Play
9:00 - 9:30 - NAP
9:30 - 11:30 - Play
11:30 - 12:30 - EAT
1:00 - 4:00 - NAP
4:00 - 5:00 - EAT
5:00 - 8:00 - PLAY and be fussy
8:00 - 9:00 - EAT
9:00 - BED

Did you notice that they are only eating 4 times a day! This is greatness!!! It gives us a whole hour - hour and half of freedom to move about the room and get stuff done.

We got them a jump jump and they sorta like it. They are still a little to little for it. But we put them in there anyway. Here is a picture of Ashton in it.

The babies like to sit together sometimes and sometimes they don't! But here is a good picture of them cooperating in their patriotic outfits.

We also like to play games. We play the game spoons with little balls. The rules are everyone starts in a circle and 2 balls (1 less than how ever many is playing) are put in the middle. The first 2 babies to get the balls wins and gets to eat first. (Okay they really don't get the reward of eating first...but that would be a good reward).

The end of the game....Presley and Ashton win this round.

The beginning of the game. Is everyone ready?

The game isn't always played naked but we have learned that if they babies are crying take their clothes off. Hopefully that won't stick as they get older.

Keegan is the big man in the middle.

We were trying to get Presley to smile but she wasn't much in the mood.

Keegan smiling after he eats.

Ashton smiling too! I should have rotated these before I uploaded them. Sorry.

No we don't have another baby boy....this is the boys best friend Carter. He belongs to our friends Lydia and Wes.

The boys are best friends....most of the time!

Tomorrow the family....the whole family....including the dog and cat are going on a road trip around Texas. We are going to Lewisville and visit my parents and dropping the cat off. Then going to Childress to attend a birthday party of Jillian Parker Pierce and see Keith's family. Then we are going to Seymour to live for a week w/ Keith's sister and her family. Keith will also begin his job. Then we will head back to Lewisville to visit my folks and pick up the cat. Then back to Austin. It will be an adventure and I will try to document it. Did I mention our dog will be w/ us the whole time. This will be fun.

Still trying to sell our house and its not looking good. But we are trying to stay positive. Why did we think it was a good idea to buy a 2 bedroom house?
