6 1/2 months

Well the babies had their 6 month doctor visit last week. He said everything looked great! Their weight and heights are:
Presley: length - 25.5 in weight - 14lb 2oz
Keegan: length - 26.5 in weight - 17lb 11oz
Ashton: length - 26.5 in weight - 17lb 11 oz

Not sure if you noticed but the boys are exactly the same. Keegans head is just 1/2 a cm bigger.
The boys are starting to try and roll from their back to their tummies. They have made it a couple of times but they are still working on it. Ashton is now getting into crawling position. His arms are straight, his knees are under him, his tummy is not touching the ground...leans forward....and falls. He will get it soon...and life will get fun!

We have added a lot of baby food and cereal to the mix. I am having trouble trying to figure out how much bottle, how much food, how often....and keep them on a routine. The boys get to come off Neosure this month (the preemie super expensive Similac) and Presley only needs it for another month. We have stocked up on it so I suppose we will get through that before we switch.

The babies also love the jumperoo's. It funny because they all act differently in them. Ashton loves to jump and jump, Keegan likes to sit and play with the stuff quietly. And Presley is kinda in between.

The babies are starting to laugh a lot! Which is really funny.

And starting to get in each others space.

In family news....we will be official Wichita Falls residents in September. Our house is now under contract (thank you for your prayers!!!) and we have a rent house ready for us! Keith will drive about 10 minutes to work everyday and I am pretty much super close to everything. So...if I need to get out of the house I can load up the kids and go window shopping at the mall. But I always have to be ready for the looks, the comments, the non stop questions. Which I think i will be okay with.

6 months

Well the babies are six months old today. Forgive me that there won't be any pictures but we packed the cord that connects the computer to the camera. :-( oops!

The babies are doing great! We have moved from Austin to the Wichita Falls area. We are living in Monica's (Keith's sister) family and are taking up residence in their living room while we wait for our house to sale.

Presley has found her feet and has become a rolly polly. She can roll from her back and her tummy. She has also started pulling her knees under her and pushing herself forward. Keegan and Ashton have started rolling from their tummy to his back more often. Ashton has been the grumpy one this month. I think that he is starting to teeth even though we can't see any teeth.

They have all started playing in their jumperoos and love it! We have also started baby food. Right now they are getting it once a day but I am going to try and shoot for 2 -3 times a day. So far they love almost everything except rice cereal and green beans. Ashton is our best eater...he will open his mouth really wide and will eat anything. Presley will open her mouth too and will eat almost anything and Keegan is still unsure. He opens his mouth a little and still spits a lot of it out especially if he isn't crazy about the food.

This last month has been a little trying. With teething (I am blaming it on that) one baby is always upset. It is constant fussiness from one baby or another or all. The only time it is quiet is when they are sleeping our eating. Having 3 at one time is definitely hard but I have LOVED watching them start to interact and seeing them develop next to each other.

Well the babies are taking their morning mini nap. I better go brush my teeth!

5 months and independence celebrations

Happy Fourth of July!!! The babies celebrated by taking a walk w/ their friend Carter and then drank lots of Similac. Then watched fireworks on TV while waving their American flags. It was a busy day!

The babies will be 5 months on the 8th. They are doing pretty great. They are starting to "talk" by saying "bagooooo" and "iiiiii" and "uhwaaaaawa". They are grabbing stuff and holding it in their hands . They have started to put their hands on the bottle which we encourage but sometimes it makes it harder for us to feed them because they like to pull it or push it away.
We do daily exercises like push ups, squats, sit ups, they practice standing up while holding on to our hands (which they are very good at).

We have started a new schedule which is a ton better than our previous schedule.

7AM - Wake Up!
7:30 - EAT
8:30 - 9:00 - Play
9:00 - 9:30 - NAP
9:30 - 11:30 - Play
11:30 - 12:30 - EAT
1:00 - 4:00 - NAP
4:00 - 5:00 - EAT
5:00 - 8:00 - PLAY and be fussy
8:00 - 9:00 - EAT
9:00 - BED

Did you notice that they are only eating 4 times a day! This is greatness!!! It gives us a whole hour - hour and half of freedom to move about the room and get stuff done.

We got them a jump jump and they sorta like it. They are still a little to little for it. But we put them in there anyway. Here is a picture of Ashton in it.

The babies like to sit together sometimes and sometimes they don't! But here is a good picture of them cooperating in their patriotic outfits.

We also like to play games. We play the game spoons with little balls. The rules are everyone starts in a circle and 2 balls (1 less than how ever many is playing) are put in the middle. The first 2 babies to get the balls wins and gets to eat first. (Okay they really don't get the reward of eating first...but that would be a good reward).

The end of the game....Presley and Ashton win this round.

The beginning of the game. Is everyone ready?

The game isn't always played naked but we have learned that if they babies are crying take their clothes off. Hopefully that won't stick as they get older.

Keegan is the big man in the middle.

We were trying to get Presley to smile but she wasn't much in the mood.

Keegan smiling after he eats.

Ashton smiling too! I should have rotated these before I uploaded them. Sorry.

No we don't have another baby boy....this is the boys best friend Carter. He belongs to our friends Lydia and Wes.

The boys are best friends....most of the time!

Tomorrow the family....the whole family....including the dog and cat are going on a road trip around Texas. We are going to Lewisville and visit my parents and dropping the cat off. Then going to Childress to attend a birthday party of Jillian Parker Pierce and see Keith's family. Then we are going to Seymour to live for a week w/ Keith's sister and her family. Keith will also begin his job. Then we will head back to Lewisville to visit my folks and pick up the cat. Then back to Austin. It will be an adventure and I will try to document it. Did I mention our dog will be w/ us the whole time. This will be fun.

Still trying to sell our house and its not looking good. But we are trying to stay positive. Why did we think it was a good idea to buy a 2 bedroom house?

4 Months!

Well I am a little late posting this...so they are really about 4 months and almost 2 weeks!

We went to the doctor and everything is GREAT! Their weights were:

Presley - 10lb 11oz

Keegan - 13 lb 10 oz

Ashton - 14 lb 2 oz

We still have a small, medium, and large.

Recently they have found their hands and have enjoyed putting them togather and playing with them. They are also finding everything funny! Keegan has started to stare at his brother and sister and laugh.

Last week we went to Childress TX to visit Keith's family. The babies went to their first wedding and the boys cried through the whole thing and Presley sat quietly and watched and listened. Then the babies went to their first wedding reception and got passed throughout the room.

The babies also got to eat Prunes! Yummy I know...but they enjoyed them!!

They also got to hang out with their favorite cousins (and Ashlynn...not pictured)!!

And their great grandparents

The babies had sooo much fun that they got a little congested. We are fighting all of their stuffy noses, coughs, and sneezes. Hopefully they get better soon and don't pass it back and forth to each other.

In other news: Keith got a job as a head girls baskeball coach in Holliday!!! So our house was put on the market today. Please pray that it sales quickly and for a decent price! We are excited, we will be a lot closer to family which will be a huge help! I am a little sad though...I LOVE our current house and all the friends I have made.

Whats going on

Presley!!! Keegan!!!!
Ashton!!!

Well the babies are growing! They will be 4 months on the 8th...which is the upcoming Wednesday. It has gone by really fast but at the same time really slow.

They are starting to be more awake during the day which has been fun but this has meant that they have been a little more fussy.Their feeding schedule has changed!! Now it is about 6 AM, 8, 11, 2, 5, 8 and then starts again at 6AM. These times are not exact because it changes a little every night but they are close. The boys are now taking 6 ounces and Presley is taking 5. She has gotten tough to feed. At about half her bottle she starts crying and fighting with you and doesn't want her bottle. We have figured out that if we rock her while she eats then she does a lot better. It is usually during her very last feeding too. The boys love to eat! No problems with that. Since Ashton got his tongue clipped he seems to do a lot better and Keegan is still a messy eater. He lets it pour out of his mouth all the time!!!

When they wake up in the morning they are always very happy and laugh and giggle (well not really giggle but make happy noises). After they eat they become very grumpy for a short while. Their favorite things to do are to swing, bounce, lay on their bellies, and sit up and look around. They love looking at mobiles!! Especially Keegan! In the cribs we have two fancy mobiles that light up, play different songs and sounds, go off by themselves, come on w/ crying....but the mobile to have is in Keegans bed. It is very simple wind up music box mobile. They LOVE it. Keegan will lay in his crib and watch it and just laugh!! It's pretty funny.
They have gotten pretty good at holding their heads up. Keegan has become a master at tummy crawling. We have to keep an eye on him or he will scoot and bump his head. The boys have rolled over a few times but I think it was by accident. Presley has started to push herself up more too.

The boys are about grown out of 0 -3 month clothes and we are breaking into 3-6 month. Presley is still in 0-3 and they are still a bit big on her...especially pants and shorts.

Mercy has started to get used to the babies. The babies have enjoyed looking at Mercy too!! I like to hold the babies on Mercy like they are riding her like a horse. I know Mercy probably isn't that excited about it but she endures it.

Happy 3 months and 2 days!

Keegan, Presley, Ashton

Well the babies are already 3 months old! They are starting to do a lot of stuff and sleep a little less during the day and little more during the night.

Our new schedule goes like this:

1:30 AM- One of us gets up to feed the babies then goes back to sleep.
6:00 AM - The other one of us gets up to feed the babies and goes back to bed.
9:00 AM - We both get up and feed the babies. Then put them in a bouncy seat or boppy. We get something to eat ourselves and maybe get ready for the day.
1:00 PM - Feed the babies. Play with the babies for a few minutes. Wash bottles. Make bottles for 5 more feedings. Eat lunch. Think about getting some stuff done. Throw some laundry in.
4:00 PM - Feed the babies. Throw some more laundry in and fold the others. Watch some TV. Play with the babies.
6:00 PM - Let the screaming begin! Grumpy hour has begun. We try and soothe the babies as much as we can. It doesn't work. We endure the screaming while taking turns holding, bouncing, rocking, swaying, walking around with the babies.
7:30 PM - Feed the babies. Change into their PJ's. Clean up the living room. Fold the laundry. Oh yea...eat.
8:30 PM - Put the babies to bed. Clean up a little. Get on the computer for a second. Get in bed and watch some TV. Then fall asleep.

This is how we feel at the end of each day

Presley is now eating 4.5 oz. (each feeding) She is smiling A LOT! And it's really cute. I will have to get a picture to put on here.

Keegan is eating 5 oz. He is smiling a lot too and starting to grab stuff. Keith has been trying to get him to roll over by putting his pacifier where he can almost reach it with his mouth and then keeps pulling it farther away as he goes for it. Keegan has also started doing push ups.

Ashton is also eating about 5 oz. He isn't smiling a whole lot yet but has some definite strength. He loves to stand up with us holding him (of course). He also is very good at pushups and can hold his upper body up for a good amount of time. He has started grabbing at things too...especially my hair and Keith's chest hair!

Ashton was born tounge tied ( I don't know the medical term off the top of my head). But the thing that holds your tounge to the bottom of your mouth (frenulum) was connected all the way to the tip. So he couldn't move his tongue around a whole lot and he couldn't stick it out. We decided to take him to a ENT specialist to see what he recommended. Well he recommenced that we clip it and we did. It took about a whole minute to do so. He didn't cry much and it barely bled, and he was ready to eat or do whatever right away. He will probably thank us one day for that!

Mercy loves the babies too! She is really good with them. We didn't get Ashton on because we ran out of room.

We had a good mothers day. We ordered in food! We also made stepping stones for their grandma's! Which included a footprint and name of each baby. This was really fun to do but we were doing it during grumpy hour so it was very loud and no one was happy.
